EOE MINORITIES / FEMALES / PROTECTED VETERANS / DISABLED Responsibilities: General Job Description : Responsible for the overall operating of the Extruder, Recycling, Belt Press, and 2 Roll Calender. Job Duties and Responsibilities include : Ensuring personal safety and participation in plant safety processes Entering data into the SAP system Inspecting the quality of processed material, noting size and dimension accuracies for a quality final product Verifying the correct setup and function of the machine Identifying and reporting worn parts immediately Maintaining a clean and efficient work area Troubleshooting and reporting machine malfunctions Performing proper and efficient changeovers Using the correct settings on assigned equipment Preventing defects throughout the process Following setup and run procedures, safety and quality procedures as documented. Performing preventative maintenance and cleaning Completing all documentation accurately Making machine adjustments when necessary Ability to follow the quality management system policy and procedures Communicate production or quality issues to appropriate team members Inspecting and sorting off quality product when needed Operating lift truck, overhead crane, hoist Job rotation and relief of other team members Qualifications: Essential Skills and Experience: Must have a High School or GED diploma Flexible for all shifts Must be able to use a computer efficiently Quality experience preferred Strong problem solving skills. Mechanical aptitude Ability to perform basic math functions and make measurements using the metric system Excellent attention to detail Must be able to read, write, and communicate in Basic English Previous experience in the operation of production line, machinery and monitoring products preferred Must be able to pass the IVC-US color vision test Performing the duties of this job requires the employee to stand for long periods of time; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel object, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk; and hear Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Vision abilities required by the job include color vision, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Physical Demands and Work Environment: - Physical demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel object, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk; or hear.
