Specialty: Randstad USA Manufacturing and Logistics Description Estimator projects and controls construction costs by collecting and studying information; compares costs of labor and costs of products/tools/equipment required to decide if accept construction project(s). Also responsible for controlling construction costs on existing projects/sites. Job Duties: :Prepare construction budgets by studying plans, updating specifications, identifying and projecting costs for each. :Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price. :Plan work to be completed by gathering information, requirements and expectations then create time lines and set priorities. :Maintain cost keys and price masters by updating information :Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information :Prepare and share reports regarding project status and trends :Work closely with owner of company who also quotes new business / new projects Working hours: Monday : Friday; 7:00 am to 5:00 pm plus OT during peak season Skills: Requirements: :very knowledgeable of construction industry (prefer previous Estimator experience) :previous experience analyzing information, developing budgets and estimating :experience creating and maintaining vendor / contractor relationships :3 to 5 years experience :read blueprints :computer skills and strong communication skills :CAD is preferred but not required if have extensive construction experience Please apply on:line at randstadusa and include an updated resume.
